Good morning,The West Virginia Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Parkersburg firefighters in a massive, long-running pay dispute. In a four-to-one decision, the high court found the city violated the state’s Wage Payment Act when it unilaterally docked longevity and E-M-T certification pay back in twenty-seventeen. The case now heads back to Wood County Circuit Court to calculate nine years of back pay and retirement adjustments for both current and retired personnel.Meanwhile, a seventy-three-year-old Racine, Ohio man is behind bars. Meigs County sheriff's detectives arrested Thomas Anderson on felony rape charges after executing a search warrant at an Elm Street residence, where investigators uncovered evidence involving a preschool-age victim.And the historic Sistersville Ferry boat has been deemed unrepairable by its insurance company.
